Libby Sarjeant and psychic investigator Fran Castle befriend Bella Morleigh, who has inherited a derelict theatre.
When an unknown body is discovered inside the theatre, they feel duty bound to help with the investigation. Although Libby is rather distracted by the preparations for her friends’ Civil Partnership ceremony, she’s getting the hang of using a computer to dig for information.
However, when a second body is found it is one of Fran’s psychic moments that makes the connection between the deaths; a connection with startling results.

I have waited a while before writing this review. If I had written it just after finishing these three books, my stars would not have shown so brightly. I was really confused about characters and how they all fit in and I wasn't at all sure I even liked Libby Sarjeant. I kept reading though and by the time I was through with these three, I knew the characters in Libby's life and had begun to understand her a little more. Slowly but surely they all grew on me. I have even come admire the way Cookman interweaves present and past together to make a complicatedly complete story. My advice is give Libby a chance. She may be nosy and irritating and won't take stay away for an answer. At the same time she is lovable and wise and does have a nose for what is important. By the time I was buying book # 6, I was hooked. Enjoy Libby and her "Loonies" as one friend calls them. They really are fun to have around.Product details

Murder at Steeple Martin - very enjoyable, slow in spots, but I did not guess the murderer until the very end. 3 stars.
Murder at the Laurels - I liked this even more than the first one. 4 stars.
Murder in Midwinter - These stories are growing on me. 4 stars.
I saw that no one had reviewed the box set and I felt I had to say something.
I love these books. I have every book in the set, and I have read them each twice. These are cozy mysteries, delightfully British, with wonderful details that keep me interested. The main characters and their friends and families have interesting lives..apart from the murders that are perpetrated. The women solving the crimes are amazing..I feel I know them personally. You'll get to know these characters throughout the series.
I recommend these books very highly. I would give 10 stars, but I am limited to 5.
Buy these books and then get the rest of the series..you won't regret it.
A great 3 book series to get you hooked onto progresing through to the next book, and the next, and the next.

Some British written mysteries are slow this set is this & worse boring. I just couldn't get into the plot or the characters.
